    • As part of our commitment to privacy, we have adopted this Privacy Policy which deals with the management of personal information.
    • By engaging with us, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
    • The contents of this Privacy Policy are subject to change from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. This Privacy Policy is not intended to create a contract between us and any individual or entity that provides us with personal information.

    • We may invite you to provide information about yourself so that we are able to provide our services to you. We do not collect information about you from other external sources.
    • The extent and type of personal information we receive from you depends on the information you provide to us through our website or software application. In order to generate a draft separation agreement, we generally need to collect the following:
      1. Names, date of birth, country of birth, citizenship, and cultural identification
      2. Postal addresses, email addresses, contact telephone numbers
      3. Real estate title particulars
      4. Children’s names and dates of birth
      5. Relationship details (cohabitation, marriage, separation, divorce)
      6. Occupation and income
      7. Details of assets, liabilities, superannuation
      8. Credit card details (for payment processing)

      10. Information about family violence and safety concerns
    • Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, you can remain anonymous or use a pseudonym if you wish, however it will reduce the type and quality of services we will be able to provide.

      4. Upload or download information from our website and software application

      8. Communicate with you, including sending your document and any requested follow-up

      13. Market our services by promotional and educational material and invitations (you may opt out at any time)

  1. How We Store and Protect Your Information
    • We are committed to protecting your personal information from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure, and will take reasonable steps to do so.
    • We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by WPEngine on servers located in Asia/Pacific (Sydney, Australia) and through our integrated website plugins.
    • The personal information you provide to us will be retained for up to 90 days after your document is generated, or as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected, or as required by law.
    • If you use the “save and continue” feature on the website, a unique URL is created and expires after 30 days. If you use this feature again, a new URL is generated with your updated answers and the 30 days re-starts.
    • Our personnel who have access to personal information have been trained to maintain the confidentiality of such information.
    • While we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from us over the internet. The transmission of information and exchange is carried out at your own risk.
  2. Disclosure of Your Information
    • We do not share personal information with third parties except as set out below, or otherwise as necessary to provide our services, or as required by law or other legal processes, and we never sell your personal information.
    • We may disclose your personal information in the following circumstances to the following third parties:
      1. For the purpose of delivering/providing our product(s), our staff members, contractors and outsourced service providers who manage the services we provide to you;
      2. Information you enter when subscribing or making a purchase will be shared with payment processors, financial gateways, and your credit card company to authorize credit card payments. Such information may also be shared with necessary third parties solely for the purpose or carrying out the transactions.
      3. For the purpose of marketing to you directly, then third parties who may assist us. These third parties may be located outside of Australia and may store data outside of Australia;
      4. Third parties who collect and process data on our behalf, such as Google Analytics or other relevant service providers. These parties may also store data outside of Australia;

        2. Acknowledge that, in such cases, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your personal information to avoid breaching the APPs.

    • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us at support@paperadvocate.com.au. We will respond to your request as soon as possible.We reserve our rights to charge a fee for responding to such requests.

    • “Cookies” (small text files placed on your computer when you first visit our website) may be used on some parts of our website. Most browsers now recognise when a cookie is offered and permit you to refuse or accept it. If you are not sure whether your browser has this capability, you should check with the software manufacturer, your company’s technology help desk or your internet service provider.
    • Cookies are primarily used to enhance your online experience and are not used to track the navigational habits of identified visitors, unless we obtain your permission to do so. If you visit our website to read or download content, much of the information we do collect via cookies is statistical only (for example the domain from which you access the internet, the date and time you access our site, and the internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site) and is not personally identifiable. We use this information about the number of visitors and their use of the sites in aggregate form to make our site more useful and attractive to users.
